Girls’ volleyball
East Chapel Hill dominated multiple sets in sweeps over Riverside and Southern Durham and a 3-1 win against Jordan. The Wildcats have won nine games in a row and sit atop the Tobacco Road 6A/7A conference standings with a 5-0 conference record.
Orange defeated Carrboro 3-1 and South Granville 3-0 to establish its first three-game winning streak of the season.
Carrboro responded with a sweep over Durham School of the Arts and remained at third place in the Big Seven 4A/5A conference standings.
Woods Charter extended its winning streak to 11 games by giving up one set in three wins against Ascend Leadership, Clover Garden and Chatham Charter. Prior to the loss to the Wolves, Chatham Charter swept The Hawbridge School and Southern Wake Academy.
Chatham Central also entered its best stretch of the year (four straight wins) with sweeps of South Davidson and College Prep and Leadership.

Boys’ soccer
Chapel Hill rolled Southern Durham 4-0 in its Tobacco Road 6A/7A conference opener. The Tigers scored two goals in each half and had four different players log a score (Lance Hugelmeyer, Cyrus Ahmed, Eliot Werley and Josue Sepulveda Nazario).
Riverside dominated Northern Durham 4-0 to quench a month-long win drought.
Jordan beat Panther Creek 2-0 to snap a two-game skid.
Seaforth scored twice in the second half to take down Durham School of the Arts 2-1. The Hawks are now 2-0 in Big Seven 4A/5A conference play.
Northwood finished its non-conference schedule with a 5-4 win over Cummings and a 5-0 victory over Southern Alamance.
Voyager Academy defeated Roxboro Community 4-2 to notch its fourth win in its last five games.
NCSSM-Durham and Research Triangle drew 1-1 in an overtime battle. Both teams scored in the second half and held each other scoreless in the overtime period. Research Triangle followed that with a 3-0 win over Woods Charter. Oscar Lesso Hernandez, Landon Bajnath and Barton Hardister each logged a goal for the Raptors.

Northwood edged Union Pines 7-6. Down 6-0 in the fourth quarter, junior Noelle Whitaker caught the game-tying score from freshman Alaina Toomer, and senior Abby Sullivan hauled in the go-ahead extra point.
Jordan-Matthews dominated Central Carolina 42-8. The Jets have won four of their last five games.
Girls’ tennis
Carrboro took down its cross-town rival Chapel Hill 6-3.
East Chapel Hill snapped a three-game slide with two 5-0 wins over Hillside.
Riverside dominated Hillside twice by scores of 6-0, and the Pirates defeated Durham School of the Arts 9-0.

Northwood finished third (174), and Jordan-Matthews finished fifth (185) in a Four Rivers 3A/4A conference match at The Golf Club at Chapel Ridge.
Chatham Central finished third in a Greater Triad 1A/2A conference match at Hemlock Golf Club with a score of 156 or 51 over par.
