Chapel Hill’s Davis Boyle selected as 2027 East-West All-Star coach

Boyle will be an assistant for the East team.

Chapel Hill soccer coach Davis Boyle will be on the sideline for the North Carolina East-West All-Star Games over the next two years.

The North Carolina Coaches Association Board of Directors selected Boyle as an assistant coach for the East in the 2027 boys’ soccer match, which is set for July 21 at Truist Point Stadium in High Point. The game will begin at 8:30 p.m. Croatan coach Paul Slater will serve as the East’s head coach.

Assistant coaches were added to the soccer teams for the upcoming game, and they will return as head coaches in 2028.

Boyle has seen plenty of success in over two decades with the Chapel Hill soccer program. In his first season as the boys’ and girls’ head coach last year, he led the boys to an 18-5 record and a state runner-up finish. The girls achieved an 11-6-1 record and a Tobacco Road 6A/7A conference title in the spring. As a longtime assistant, Boyle helped the boys win back-to-back state titles in 2017 and 2018, and he helped the girls win the state crown in 2014 and 2018.
